Now, don’t be under the impression that this is the kind of place I visit on a regular basis, not at all. Though for most of us, we wish it was.
To start off the experience, I was given a fresh beetroot juice (I did see others with different juices but didn’t get the chance to ask if you got different juice depending on your treatment.) When you are a new client you are also presented with a form to fill out regarding any medical conditions you have as well as problem areas with your skin or body, where you’d like them to focus their attention and so forth. Upon completion of the form, I was lead into a private room, where my own slice of heaven began. Inside I was prompted to smell three different oils on the back of my hand and each had a set action that promoted a different type of relaxation. The scent I chose had to do with rejuvenating a tired body.
After that, I received the Bamford signature facial which included a 30 minute back massage, followed by legs, feet and finishing with the face. After my back was massaged, I turned over and a hot stone was placed on my tummy to help promote digestion and a cool stone was placed on my forehead towards the end of the facial.
When the treatment has finished, you are left to slowly reawaken your body. When you exit the room they take you to the client’s area where they give you a nice refreshing, energizing tea. The client’s area has a gorgeous aroma throughout it and is a beautiful, minimalistic space with large windows on all the walls that look out onto the estate. You are welcome to stay in this area for as long as you like to lay down rest and prepare to leave this marvelous environment.

Daylesford estate isn’t just home to a spa but also boutique cottage accommodation, a clothing shop, cafe, restaurants, butchery, bakery, creamery, fishmonger, a grocer with fruits and vegetables, dairy and wine, a cookshop, homeware, AND Garden shop.
So, even for those of you who aren’t interested in the spa, there is a lot more to see and choose from. I’d particularly like to try the cookery workshops or garden workshops. Plenty of locals also buy their fresh produce from here, as all of it is organic, farm-grown, bred and made on the Daylesford estate.
Now, it’s understandable if you cant make your way out to Daylesford near Kingham, they do have however three different locations in London area that might be of easier access to you. So jump over to their site and see which one might be closest to you!

I absolutely love Daylesford. Had breakfast & lunch at the the Nottinghill Cafe virtually every day while in London and after that just had to visit the estate. It was the very best place we ate for the whole month in UK. Walking around the Daylesford shops is such a treat even if not buying anything. So beautifully presented. I could spend a fortune there, (If I had a fortune).
